Engine baffles coming loose

I noticed the other day the passenger side radiator baffle had torn loose and repaired with a zip tie. Now i see lower radiator baffle has detached too.

truck is 3.5 years old and 39,000 miles....are you guys seeing this and what do yall think? Repair, replace or just remove?

Thanks.

I went re-attach the bottom baffle and found it had just pulled out, not torn.

It just dawned on me what happen. It was from driving in the high flood water. The high water pushed the bottom baffle out and possible tore the side one loose.

They are re-attached...lets see if they stay put

*Update* Ordered new baffles and replacement them today. Easy job!

I bought one of those plastic rivet (?) tool removers, took the front grill off (instruction on youtube 4 bolts at top and 4 clips at bottom).

I think they may have gotten torn driving through high water during the last flood here.

So you had to remove the Grill to get to the baffles?

Yes, removing grill makes it easy. Youtube video shows how to remove 4 bolts on top of grill, lean back and press 4 or so tabs at bottom of grill to release. Then changing side baffles are easy.

for my 2013:

Part Status Description Quantity Price
BC3Z8310A Side air baffle 1 $17.98
BC3Z8311A Side air baffle 1 $20.29

I bought this from Lakeland Ford Online Parts

I'm planning a trip out west with the RV this summer, so I wanted the baffles in place.
