Hey guys, it has been awhile. I finally got my seats back from the shop that did my cab corners that couldn't figure out how to paper and tape door openings. Eclipse conversion truck red interior(darker red than standard red interior) was now white speckled everywhere. The old truck has been sitting idle all summer on this wait.
Long story short, I got my seats back fired it up bit of a different feel going from the '13 f150 6.2 to the 351 but non the less I have owned the 351 for almost 10 years I know it well. I took it out driving it around searching for lock up all the time if under 55, using the torque app watching parameters at idle in park my load was running 78-87%, TPS % 11.1-17.6%, Swapped the Stock MAF back in and the PRO-M out yielded no improvement just rich codes( running 30lb injectors), Idling around 1200 or so would occasionally drop down the its factory but 5 seconds later pick right back up. In my junkyard adventures I have grabbed SEFI-MA 351 eec from vans and trucks with the occasional balancer if easily accessible.
So I hooked eec-b into the plug fired up there it is idling nice and where it should be throttle is crisp, drive it shifts and locks in like it should, TPS at idle is at 17.6% steady, load 20% at idle. this all being said, I had the famous vapor management valve fault code and trans unidentifiable code 5 years ago bought reman cardone EEC for it. Has anyone else out there encountered this issue reman EEC failure? I pulled covers off there were a couple dark spots next to one of the chips.
