This is what a friggin moron the builder was. If you look at the picture of the garage you see there is one piece of siding that butts up to the steps, another that comes up against them on the bottom and is spliced into that other one that runs up to the house along the landing. They sided the house THEN poured the concrete!!
I had to use the Sawzall to get the bottom piece cut and the cutoff wheel on the other one above it. LOL

Good evening gang. Replaced the siding on the side of the garage and have a couple narrow spots on the front of the house left to do. I am sore. Also helped the neighbor replace a bunch of his sidewalk brick last night. My knees can't take all this up, down, and kneeling.
I have to wear knee pads anymore or the arthritis comes on like a sob...

Happy Sunday morning everybody.
The step/siding deal is amazing Jay. Done by *professionals* no doubt.
I managed to finish my sidewalk project up yesterday and got to sleep in for the first in a long time today.
I looked at the numbers from my summer of fun. It wasn't so fun....
-22 yards of concrete in 3 different slabs.
-1550' of 1/2" rebar.
-3,807 paver bricks.
-1 1/2 pallets of retaining wall block.
-620# of polymeric paver sand.
-5.5 tons washed sand.
-Over 29 tons of 3/4 minus gravel.
-About 30 trips with my trusty F-350 at 1.5 tons per load.
-Two shovels.
-8 Diamond saw blades.
-One Skilsaw.
-A few hours of labor.
