2016 wind noise

I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Mine was and is very, very quiet. I now have ~~ 14,000 miles, and it's a pleasure to drive. I feel sorry for you folks that are having trouble, but at least you know that many (most?) of us don't have this issue.

Does yours have the keypad on the door? That's where my noise is coming from. The dealer just caller me and told me they're replacing the whole b post where the key pad is on. I'm doubting that's going to fix it since it's a wide spread problem. Irritating.

Yes. I thought it was more or less standard? I don't really see how that could be the source of wind noise, but I'm willing to be convinced.

I would tend to think I might be a little more out of loop having Powerstrokes for so long, a super quiet gasoline engine in a truck is different to me, so I tend to hear and pick up more things than "normal"
However, since my own truck started becoming louder, I paid more attention in other vehicles I rode in and really my own truck doesn't seem that much different.
Actually, despite my complaints and whining, I would say my F150 is quieter on average than most vehicles.
I need to try that tape on the keypad trick though.

The views on my Youtube video and 70 pages on the other F150 forum would say different on what's normal.

Yeah it saw your truck is the same as mine so it's probably the keypad. I put tape over the keypad and drove to 80mph it was completed quite. Besides me yelling with excitement that I had found it. Sounds like it's going to be at the dealer another day. I'm pretty sure I'll pick it up and it want be fixed because they didn't listen to me, but well see. I'm going to try to open it up and seal it myself it they don't fix it. I'm tired of waiting on them. Trucks been in the shop more than I've driven it.
But with the tricks I tried, I did hear a little more wind/road noise from the other doors.
I'll throw some tape on my keypad for my morning drive. I am definitely curious...

Also coming from a powerstroke, over 1000 miles, with a keypad... no wind noise. Even after the 2" coilover and add-a-leaf install which was surprising - I expected that to introduce some new noises but it did not. I'm willing to do some phone-app dB sampling if that data will help. If my truck is this quiet and yours isn't, IMO Ford should address it. I'll take 10 minutes out of my day to help your case, if you like.

So I just got it back and still have the wind noise. They replaced the whole panel and keypad and it still has wind noise when I get up to 70. I took it back and they told me that all the new trucks have the wind noise and there's no fix for it. Soooo. I'm going to buy this chrome pad covered mentioned above and hopefully it covers it enough to stop the noise. If it does I'll paint it gloss black to match the trim.
