2015+ truck and mustang 5.0 differences

I have not seen anything on the second gen coyote about the difference between the truck and mustangs engines. Anyone know what's different in them and if the trucks got the boss 302 rods. Thinking about Doing a swap on one of my old trucks and truck engines seem to be easily obtainable conpared to mustang ones.

I don't know other than they are turned differently. You could go to a dealer and look up some parts for each engine and see if they are the same part number.

What I've been told is that, the engine in the truck is tuned differently. So it is more of a truck engine so it has better torque. Besides, still has a 6.2 liter engine that they want to sell. Couldn't make the 5.0 whip it's larger displacement engine.

So a map from a mustang will work without issues if the truck is used more as a daily driver as opposed to a truck?

The truck engine has different intake cams, different exhaust manifolds, oil cooler, and tuning which holds it's redline down. That's why the HP rating is lower.

The Mustang engine is allowed to rev higher to get that 430 HP number on paper, even though very few people are ever going to spend any time at 6,500+ RPM.

That seems to be the case usually, cams, intake/exhaust and the tune, otherwise same.

Compression ratio is also another factor, not sure if this is the case here.

True. That is probably so they can add more timing on the truck engine at lower rpms to give it more torque in that area.
