Is it possible to use 16x10 5'' backspace on my 79' F250?

What would be the consequence of using 5'' backspace wheels on my F250 70?

Would wheels stay out of the fender? Any other con?

Better keep BS at 4''?

Thanks a lot.

If the wheels are aluminum there is good chance they would hit the twin piston caliper which I guess you have. Test fit before purchase would be a good idea if possible.

assuming stock axles and fender edge:

The back will be flush and the front will stick out about 3/4" with a 12.50 tire.

The wheels are steel...these:

https://www.cokertire.com/wheels/tru...el-primed.html

They have size 16x8 with 4'' BS or 16x10 with 5'' BS.

And these are the tires I'd add to the above wheels:

https://www.cokertire.com/tires/styl...ly-900-16.html

They're 900-16, what is the equivalent in metric? Will they match the 16x8 wheels?

Sorry so many questions I'm a bit lost and I'm a newby here...

10" is too wide for a 9.00-16 tire, 8" wide is th max I'd go.

9.00-16's are a cool, vintage military tire size, but they are also an old school bias ply tires. They will ride rough and flat spot a bit when they're parked for a while.

They're 36.3" tall, is that what you're looking for?

Yes, that's the kind of tires I'm looking for, only that this is a pretty tall at 36.3'' and could brush the inner front fender when turning?, at the moment I have 9.50x16.5 Firestones which I believe are much shorter...Am I right?

Yes, you are correct. I think the 9.50R16.5 tires are 30"-31" tall.
