Ps and power brakes

Given that your truck is over 50 years old, and I'm guessing you're not the original owner, there's a 50/50 chance it's not the original engine and there is no way to tell visually if it's a 352, 360, 390, 410 or even a 428 CJ for that matter if the heads have been swapped. If you believe it's the original engine it would be a 352.

where are you located? i have a complete djm front setup, drop beams, steering drop, p/s box, disc brakes, disc spindles, recent (mileage wise) steering parts and moog king pins with bronze bushings, springs, shocks soft lines for brakes,....everything. im converting to Dakota kit, stuff showed up yesterday.
everything you need besides a p/s pump and a new master cylinder
fastenal gave me a quote to ship all of it for around 150 but it may be a little less or more depending on where you are.
was looking for 550 plus shipping.

Autozone can usually get the consumables the next day if they don't have them in stock, so you can order new rotors, pads, hoses and bearings from them. I would also get a new MC and plan to fabricate and/or replace with new lines. You can order them from any of the truck catalogs like NPD, LMC or Mac's.
What you need to get from the donor are the entire I-beam and disc brake spindle assemblies, power steering gearbox, all of the steering linkage, power steering column mount bracket, power steering column if you have an automatic (or at least the shaft if manual trans), disc brake booster, and proportioning valve. Some people take the radius arms too, since it's easier to disconnect them at the frame rather than the I-beam. If it has an anti-sway bar take that too.
You will need the driver's side '69 up FE frame mount for the engine so that's the only thing you can't get off the '74. It moves the mounting bolts on the driver side forward enough to clear the Ford Saginaw steering box. I have a Pwr steering set of FE frame mounts I will swap you even for, but I would need both sides for the small block. PM me if interested.
If I've missed anything hopefully someone will chime in.

The P/S pressure hose connects to the pump w/a qwik connect fitting.
Since there were no FE engines after 1976, there are no FE P/S mounting brackets that will fit the C-II pump.
Many 1967/77 FoMoCo vehicles used the Ford/Thompson "pencil neck" P/S pump, it has a steel reservoir. The P/S pressure hose threads onto the pump.

Too add to John's post. Ford changed the P/S pump in 1978, it's known as the Ford C-II pump, it's a different shape and has a plastic reservoir.

The Ford/Thompson ps mounting bracket is easily modified to use the later plastic reservoir C-II pump, plus it's lighter and in my experience lasts longer. The bolt holes are the same and the pulley will line up perfectly and is interchangeable with the earlier pulleys. I've been running a C-II pump on my '69 Mach 1 for years (it's also been converted to rack and pinion steering).
