Broken defrost door

Sorry, no pictures available, but I cut the piano hinge to length, using a hacksaw, and riveted it in place. The piano hinge was brass, to help control rusting. It has been working for several years.

Finished....not pretty but should work.
I was able to get this done, turned out not as difficult as I had thought it may be but I did it a little differently than what others have done. I used all the old parts that way I didn't have to drill more holes in to the box to mount the piano hinge. Just wanted to post pictures since I could not find any on here from other repairs. Hope this will help out some one else down the line.
Items to use to try and fix the broken door.
Decided to try and use the existing parts and just use 1 1/2 hinges with 8/32 screws and nuts
Bolted together.
Back side picture.
Door installed to check for fit.
The gap made because of the screws, this is where the foam comes in the make sure the door seals all the way around.
Finished. It is not the prettiest thing and I did think about trimming around the opening to make it look better but....who is going to see it.
