2007 Ranger door rust problem

Recently my father bought a 2007 Ford Ranger from a dealership. I have only noticed the other day that the bottom of the door is forming rust. We were wondering if anyone else has had it problem and what is the easiest way to go about fixing this.

They make rust converting spray. I'd try that and just monitor it to make sure it doesn't get worse or anything like that.

The spray can be primed and painted over also.

Try the spray Diesel Camper was talking about and if you do not get the results you want either sand it or grind it off then primer and touch up paint

Yeah I have that on my 2000 driver's door. I used rust converter and an acid brush. Wire brush it good, wipe it off, brush on the rust converter, let it dry, prime and paint. It's on the inside but was looking like dirt on the outside bottom edge. Looks okay after a year.
