1982 F250 400 V8 swap
I have a 1982 F250 with the 400 engine with 2bbl carb. I have an opportunity to buy a rebuilt 5.0 with efi from a 1992 Bronco. The 5.0 is complete with the wiring harness and ECU. Would it be possible to swap the 400 with the 5.0? What are some issues I would run into? Any suggestions and/or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to FTE.
This swap is possible, but not particularly practical.
These engines have different bell housing patterns, so you would have to bring a transmission over with the engine as well.
Mounts, cooling, exhaust, accessory drives, cross members, linkages are all concerns as well.
What is the status of the 400? If it's a decent runner, leave it be imo.
If you are looking for a mpg boost, you will have to drive it a million miles to make your payoff.....
