JB's 1970 F100

Hey guys. Starting a new journey and thought I'd start a thread here. I forgot I even joined here a few years ago for info, but now I'm here to actually post something for real this time.

Short story:

Selling this (my 10 year long $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ project):

Starting a build on this:

Picking the 1970 F100 up tomorrow and as soon as I sell the Ranger, I'm dumping a whole lot of time and money into it. My plan is a pro-touring style build that will be my do all and everything street toy. I'll update this soon and look forward to it.

Can you truly have fun life without the willingness to empty your savings into a one-off vehicle build that you will never see anything close to a something that resembles a return on investment? I think not.

Buy a vehicle of an exclusive brand (and relatively limited production) and build one-offs for fun. Have the best of both worlds....

Hey man,

I have seen you at Cars and Coffee a few times. I have the tan F100 with the Coyote swap in it.

If there is anything that you need help with hit me up.

Looking forward to seeing what you put together, your ranger is pretty cool, I came from the offroad world as well.

Jeff and his popcorn.

If this is going to be a long process, this might be Jeff and his popcorn, while tuning into this show.

....If the first truck is any indication of what the Bumpside will be, should be a very interesting thread.

Awesome! I love your build and was so damn excited to see it a couple months ago. I will definitely have some questions. I'm trying really hard to narrow down the kits and parts that I will be needing and will want to buy. Just got the truck home an hour ago and am looking forward to selling the Ranger so I can get going on the F100.

I'm trying to narrow down an IFS kit and 4 link first of all. After many hours, I THINK I'm going to go with a Fatman front IFS and possibly a Welderseries universal triangulated 4 link, but don't know what else from there. I'm having a buddy that runs a fab shop do the install so he might just fab up the coilover mounts and whatever else. I would like to find a complete triangulated 4 link kit, but so far I've only seen the No limit complete kit, but that is a parallel unit.

Haha, yeah I don't mess around. The funds from that Ranger are going STRAIGHT to the F100, so I'm thinking the remainder of this year and the next will show a crap ton of progress.

Thanks. No I'm cutting her down. Thought about it, but I just like the shortbed look way too much. Also picked this up for a lot cheaper than any shortbed I was seeing so with the cost of shortening the frame it still made more sense.
