I have a 1992 f150 xlt with courtesy lights on bottom of the doors. Driver side goes off when I shut the door. Passenger light stays on. The dome light goes out on passenger side. Just the door courtesy light stays on. I have searched and cannot find this problem with just the courtesy light staying on.

Ideas?

 

Since they are all tied to the same circuit I see no reason why one would stay on and the others go off

 

Unless the wiring has been changed in some way...?
Any history of bodywork on the truck? Body guys occasionally splice wires & do it incorrectly, or a previous owner?

 

Body work on the rocker panel behind door. Truck was painted with door jams off. Maybe wrong bulb? I will trace the wires back from bulb.
