I see no benefit at all, just another one of Ford's "great" ideas.

First I have to say I've owned a lot trucks over the years and this one is hands down the nicest truck yet!

Two things bug me... one of which I fixed yesterday.

I want the mirrors to automatically fold in when I lock the truck. At minimum I'd like to able to fold the mirrors without having to power the ignition.

The second issue I addressed yesterday. Even with the screen closed... the heat coming from the enormous sunroof is obnoxious. I had my tint guy cover it with an 70% Ceramic Tint. The interior of the cab is much cooler now. Made a marked change in the efficiency of the AC.

I wonder why the F150s aren't like that? They have the same LEDs and RADARS? Hell a piece of flexible plastic filler would do wonders, especially on the lighter colors!

I did not order a sunroof for my Lariat nor would I step up in size and go for the Ultimate Lariat mainly because of the mandatory sunroof. One in the family is enough sun for me in my wife's vehicle, she loves them, I hate them. Heat and too bright on the eyes are my complaint and why have a huge glass roof and need to keep the shade drawn?

I like the sunroof open in the mornings and evenings. It's too hot on summer days. I also close the shade when parked to keep the heat in check. I get why a lot of people don't like them because you do have to think shade, no shade, open, closed, etc. If you leave the shade open on a hot summer day the heat inside can be unbearable.

That would be a good solution. It doesn't bother me but for many it is an eye sore. Too bad Ford does not take input from the customers and maybe that could be rectified.

Found another one. The chrome strip they put beneath the door windows gets HOT!!! I rolled down my window here in 74 degree weather and leaned my arm on the window seal and OUCH. Can't imagine the pain when it is over 100.

Yes!!! First thing I'm doing, along with the fronts.

What'd you pay for the top? I was quoted $150 for ceramic 20%....sun is always glaring off my glasses on my '15...figure this will knock that down a peg as well.

Comparing the new truck to my 2000 is a major undertaking. Main problem with the new truck is trying to remove the giant grin off of my face.

Second this drawback. I can get used to the newness of other changes, but losing power to charge cell phone, mifi, usb speakers, etc is a big PITA. I'm going to have to re-engineer this if possible.

Only fair to mention what I like also...love the ride quality of my F350 and the interior finish out of the King Ranch is above & beyond anything else on the road today. This is my 15th Super Duty and the by far the best one yet.
