I have a f150 coyote engine and a 4r70w from a 2003 crown vic and I want to mate them and swap it into a 1971 f100 that already has the crown Vic’s front suspension swap but I don’t understand you when you said you had to take your engine and transmission to the machine shop and drill holes to fit the 4r70w.

I ordered a 2 different flex plates that were suppose to have the right bolt pattern but weren't right. I took the flex plate to the machine shop and had it drilled for my torque converter. My advice would be not to use the crown Vic converter because it is a super low stall. It works good but can't stall any at the track.
