Bronco rot help me rust repair
I have done a ton of work to this truck since I bought it. I now want to move on to rust repair. Wheel archs minor visible rust but after hitting with a hammer it's up there. Radiator support rotting, tailgate rotting, and I believe the rear cross sill is rotting out. I have attached a photo of what I believe to be part of the rear will or a support of some sort. Rust whole on back drivers side cargo panel above the piece I have attached a rusted photo of ( photo that is attached is passenger side but same piece) Frame rust doesn't appear to be any more than a patina on the front 70% of the vehicle, some scaling on the rear but found no weak spots. What I plan on doing
Replacing whole quarter panels on both sides as well as inner wheel arch support.
Replacing front radiator support
Replacing rear sill or whatever we see is rotting ( possible body mount brackets)
Welding patch panel into hole kn driver side of cargo floor around 4 inches by 4 inches.
Removing surface rust on frame and coating with sealant of sorts
Replace tailgate skin or with used
I am going to replace whole quarter because they are dented anyways and I see it best to just knock out the whole issue of rust.
I also may add that I am not the most experienced welder. I borrowed my friends welder and have been welding 3-4 nights a week 20 guage metal practicing, I feel pretty good, I am very mechanically inclined and have a client who used to own a body shop walking me through all the welding tips. He is old and really can't help me but is a very educated man in welding.
I need as much advice and help as I can get, thank you all in advance. My goal is to park the Mercedes and enjoy this thing a lot more.1
Fresh shampoo
Steering wheel peeling a bit
This is on rear passenger side appears to be a support or sorts ? Obviously no salvaging
