Rural King 15W40 diesel oil ?

Anyone run this yet in their truck or have any input asto how good of an oil it is? I have been running RK brand oil in my civic for at least a year now and also run the synthetic in my wife's Pilot. No ill effects but I change both every 3,000 miles. I have read that Warren Oil distributing is a pretty reputable company and blender of private label oils. Just wanting to see if anyone out there has had experience with it in their truck.

Honestly I put it in my project truck.
I'm going to start with it in Clifford also. The price difference will allow more frequent changes and still a savings. Time will tell.

Yeah the savings is huge. I called Blackstone labs and spoke to a technician. They told me that it was just as good as any other diesel oil and that the oil held up just as well as rotella on the shear strength. He told me they have quite a few customers using it and sending in samples. I change my oil every 3,000 miles anyway so.... After talking to Blackstone I will give it a try and send in for an analysis.

No, I have not seen a diesel synthetic there. They do have gasser synthetics that I run in my Honda Pilot and so far so good. Maybe a 5W-40 isn't too far down the line for them. I will be changing oil in my truck this weekend so we will see how she runs.

I do usually do every 5k. And I have been using the Farm and Fleet 5 gal Pail. I have also been running farm and fleet oil in all my other stuff. It's cheaper and meets all the same standards as the name brand stuff. I have no complaints.

yeah Thomas, it's just my opinion, but it seems much more responsible to do 5k. 3k OCIs is absolutely unnecessary, even when heavy towing with our trucks. 5k all day long will net you the same mileage out of your truck's engine as 3k OCIs would. I've done the UOAs to see this proof positive.
