Hey guys, getting some stone for my shed and padio, going to need about 12 yards of stone (yeah, no exaggeration). The quarry is about half an hour away from my house, a few hills, only one that scares me is "Mile hill". Will my truck blow the trans/ melt piston rings/ not be able to stop with that much weight? The only things not stock about my truck is the air intake (6637) and straight pipe. I think the dump trailer weighs about 4000lbs, so roughly 8000 lbs of stone. Is this outrageous? Am I crazy? Would using my ford excursion be better?

It should pull it. If you have an auto trans, don't know how it will like it. Unless you have good brakes on the dump trailer, I wouldn't try it. Maybe do it in two trips.

I knew the truck could move it forwards, but the bigger problem is the truck stopping in a timely manner. I might do it in two trips, but i need to calculate how much stone ill need. I guess two trips wouldn't be the end of the world. I just see a lot of newer f250s around me that look like they are on the bump stops towing an empty dump trailer.
