Thanks!

Fender is fully mounted, Excursion emblem is installed. Tomorrow the gold trim will go on, license plate bracket will be installed and bumper made to sit correctly with the lower valance corrected (twisted a little now). I'm going to change the oil and air filter and wash under the hood. Also clean out the antifreeze overflow tank.

In the next week I plan to get the interior all cleaned up, remote start installed and put it up for sale!

Russ you need to get the previous owner to take that thing off of Craigslist before you post your ad up. There's not that many Ex's in the state and I would hate for that to detract from your ability to sell it. My previous Ex was similar to what you have here, not as much body damage, but not super straight either. The inside looked and smelled like the previous owner used it as a doghouse for a couple of years. It was a low mile (under 100K) V10 I gave $5000 for 4 years ago and sold it a year later for $6200 in a day on Craigslist after cleaning it up and touching up a couple of rusty spots. I'll never recoup what I have in the current one though, the bug got to me and I still have some essentials to take care of. Good luck on the project/sale!

Yes that is on my list tomorrow, I know the guy and hopefully he'll get it pulled down quickly. I just checked the other day and noticed it's still up.

I changed oil today which was a good thing the old oil was pretty dark. (I know you shouldn't judge by color but...)

Then I soaked it in simple green under the hood and pressure washed, it looks like brand new under there now! I didn't get a pic after I cleaned under there or put the hood insulation back on.

Looking good! It always feels good to make something nicer than it was. Good luck with that interior, that's going to take more work than the front end!

Russ, you could save some cash, by swapping an old battery in one of your other vehicles for the new one in your flipper.

Awesome job, hard to imagine selling it once you have done a great rest job on it.

Thanks guys! I've found a huge selling point is "NEW" parts! I debated taking the good battery out of my Plow truck and swapping it with the new one, but decided not to.

The paint isn't great but it's fine for a 16 year old truck, once it's wet sanded and buffed with the rest of the truck buffed and waxed it will be just fine.

Started on the interior and it's actually coming clean! Still a lot to go but it's coming out well.

Watching the Debate tonight though so I'm not spending the time in the garage I want to today.

Crap is about what you got from watching them two last night. That's a couple hours I'll never get back lol. To get back on topic, the ex is looking good, any interior progress pics?

The interior is actually coming clean! I'll get some photos up tonight after I get home.

That Excursion is looking good so far Russ! Good luck with that interior, that looked pretty bad. I always liked the Excursion, I wish they'd bring it back!
I didn't see the debate last night, and had no plans to watch it anyway since the Debate Commission apparently decided not to allow third party candidates in. I'm tired of our great nation always coming out on the losing end of the choice between bad and worse!

I bet even if the old craigslist listing was still up when you listed no one would make the connection because of how much different (better) it looks now.

Great work.

Only issue is the license plate will match, I still need to get in contact with the guy and see if he'll pull it down. Otherwise I can go get new plates for $10.

Well here is progress pics!

It's getting close, I doubt if I'll make my deadline of having it listed by the 30th though...few little nagging things that will require a little more time.
