Did you run the wires to the frame pump or the tank pump?
The point you ran the wire to does it have power with a loading test light for one second each time the key is turned on?
Does the two relays under the hood on the drivers side fender click each time the key is turn to run?

Have you checked for spark?
Does the frame pump run for one second when the key is turned to the run position?
What engine do you have?
You can not know if the fuel pressure is OK at the rail without a fuel pressure gauge.
Have you tried resetting the fuel cutoff switch?
Does the small black wire with a green stripe have a good ground at the NEG (-) post of the battery?

This is what happened i had never used the back tank since i had the truck and i had the truck running and then the truck cut off and i smelt something burning and it had melted the wires to the swith thats switches the tanks and then wouldn't start and i didnt hear the pump running so i just ran a neg and pos wire from the battery straight to the pump in the tank by passing everything else and i can hear the pump coming on now and it still won't start

Didnt check for spark for that reason.
I havent checked the pump on the frame.
Its got the 302 in it.
Dont have a gauge so i just checked to see if there was fuel coming out at the rail.
Havent tried the fuel cut off switch where would it be located.
Thanks

Dont know if this helps but I had the same problem On my 1990 f150. The switch connector melted, I ended up wiring the pump power and front pump at the switch itself. I think I cut the wires I needed at the switch connectors so I could plug it back in. Never failed since.

make sure you are getting spark. Just pull a wire off and check. The ignition module is common about going out on these older trucks. My switch repair has held up for a few years know with no trouble.

Also you might try running the ground wire long enough to bring it in the cab and hook a on/off switch to it. I'm not sure how Ford efi works, but it there might be a reason the pump turns on for a few seconds with key on then stops.

It was running fine until some how my switch got flipped to the back tank and i guess it had a short or something to make it melt the wires like it did because i never used the back tank since i had the truck and i know its getting fire because i sprayed it one time with carb. cleaner and it fired right up and cut right off

First you need to find out if the frame pump runs for one second each time the key is turned on. If it does not it will not start.
You may now have a bad fuse link at the starter solenoid on the passenger fender.
