I know I am probably beating a dead horse but could someone tell me how to tighten my serpentine belt on my 93 f 150 I6 with A/C. When I start it up it squeals and the amperage on the gauge shows well below normal, so I'm thinking it is slipping at the alternator. The alt is brand new and it seems to be running right on track, no rubbing. Could it be something else, perhaps the pollution pump?
Please help, greatly appreciated😀

 

How old is the tensioner wheel assembly? They do wear out. They bearings get old or the spring element gets a little weak.

 

Not sure on how old it is, but my guess is that it's never been replaced since the factory in 93

 

How about the belt? Old belts get slick and harden, making them more prone to slippage.
