66 2 barrel carb??

Hi everybody new to the site! I'm looking into buying this 1966 F100 with the 300 6 cyl. It needs a carb & a radiator, I was wondering if Holley or Edelbrock make a manifold and carb match to put a 2 Barrel on it? Any ideas?

I'm not sure about a 2bbl. There are a few brands/models of 4bbl manifolds that will fit on your engine. Offenhauser and Clifford are two popular brands. If you google

ford 300 intake manifolds

https://www.google.com/webhp?sourcei...ke%20manifolds

You can get quite a lot of hits. Summit and JEGS sell them. Also can be found on eBay.

Here on FTE there is also a forum particular to discussion of the Ford inline 6 cylinder engines, to include the 300. Here

Ford Inline Six, 200, 250, 4.9L / 300 - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums

If you really wanted a 2bbl carb you could probably find an adapter to go from 4bbl to 2bbl for use on these manifolds.

Use the Offenhauser 360 along with a Holley 390 and EFI split cast iron hedders. Great combination for good low end torque and highway cruising. The 390 four barrel when tuned will give much better mileage than a 2 barrel and cost about the same.

Depending on where you live you will need to provide a heated spacer under the carburetor as it will ice and freeze.

Thanks for the info

Thanks I actually did that I went kind of "old school" and looked in a real catalog from Summit Rracing and found an Offenhauser intake that will let me use up to a 500cfm carb!
So thanks again!
Love all the info on this site I'm sure I'll be back plenty of times!
