Help with a few wires (pictures inside)
Just picked up a 78 Ford Ranger with a 302 im replacing the gauges with a working set and a few wires were cut behind the dash or just hanging. Can I get some help with these please?
two brown wires and a yellow and black wire connected to a female plug
Black and yellow wire seems cut but if I reattach it where does the plug go? Also have a blue and red wire.
Behind the glove box these wires were just sitting here.

In the first picture, the yellow plug is an accessory power tap. It should show 12V when the key is in the run position.
Brown wires, not sure.
Green plug in the second picture is for the factory radio. The blue w/ red trace wire is for radio illumination. The same color wire (blue w/ red) is used for all dash illumination.
The other ones, I'll have to see if I can find them on the wiring diagrams.

In the second picture. The blue w/red trace wire at the bottom of the picture I believe will be for the hvac control back lighting.
In the last picture, it's hard to tell, if the colors are yellow/ green trace and black/ blue trace, those wires go to the right courtesy light switch in the door jamb.

The big yellow connector is your friend-it's got three receptacles that are switched hot with the ignition switch. Unfortunately, the connectors are 1/4" bullets, which I can't find
Blue with red is dash lights. I found one that had a 1/4" female disconnect. I think it was for the backlight on the radio
I see by the debris you've got the composite cluster that falls apart when you touch it...

The backlight for the radio is the blue with red stripe wire on the radio connector. The other loose blue with red stripe wire is possibly the ash tray light. The light itself may be missing but it is a bulb housing with a pigtail and bullet connector that clips into the top of the ash tray frame.
