AC (compressor?) "breathing" noise
Got my 2016 in February. I love it so far BUT something is bothering me:
When my AC is on - which is virtually always given how hot is has been all summer - I can hear a constant (every couple of seconds) "breathing" noise, like a ventilator hooked up to somebody in a hospital bed. It clearly comes from the front passenger side (dash, or under hood) and it just doesn't seem normal or acceptable. I was very conscious of it late last night, and all the way to work early this am. Any ideas or does anybody else experience this?
Thanks

That's the "TXV" , thermal expansion valve, and they replaced the old style orifice. It is monitoring the inflow of compressed refrigerant bsed on demand. At night or early AM, there is less demand for cooling, so it cycles less often, but in a "louder" way. They do make more noise when the refrigerant gets low however. Turn the radio up until you notice reduced cooling capability.
