I have driven both. I recently purchased a 2016 but drove the 2017 with the 6.2

I have a very bumpy concrete paneled 35mph road where I live. I am really impressed how much smoother the new truck is vs the 16. I don't worry about ride much, but the new truck has definitely improved.
Working hard to get it broke in and some miles racked up.
Last truck: 2016 F250 6.2 XL CCSB 3.73
New truck: 2017 F250 6.2 XL CCSB 4.30

So far(small sample), on my usual daily drive 50/50, I'm running 11 town and 16 hwy. This is resetting the on board meter. That is 1mpg better than my '16 would read. I'm also running 285/65/20's which are quite a bit larger than my last. I need to re-calibrate my speedo though. Once broke in, I expect to be roughly 2mpg's better than my '16 for my use. Aside from that, the truck is quicker which I accredit mostly to gearing. Secondly, I feel a much harder pull when accelerating which will be a combo of gears and more torque at the lower rpm. The off the line power is substantially better than my last 3.73 truck. I don't notice any real tranny difference yet.
I can't imagine wanting 3.73's for a work truck 6.2.
The new SD is big, in fact 3" taller at the top of tailgate(61.5"), 3" at the bedrail from ground measured at rear wheel, and the receiver is 3" higher off ground than my 2016 F250 was.
I know I'm getting older, but this may be the 1st truck I ever lower. The rake is just over 3" and I may drop the rear 1" via a 2" block(3" factory).

Well I've only gone 1xx miles so far, but I will say my new one feels much faster. It also pulls a lot harder during acceleration up to 70(thats all I've done).

Can you notice that the power comes on in the lower rpms? I think between that and a 4.30 rear end I will see a big difference in low end power. On a side note, I went to my local dealer to speak with my salesman about the truck I want to order and you would think I knew nothing when I mentioned to him about going to a 4.30 end. He thought I would regret and wouldn't ever understand why anybody would do that. My dad ordered a 15 platinum dually and I explained to him about the better rear end and the dealer convinced him that the 3.73 was better. Well my pops ain't happy with his choice and wants a diesel again lol.
