Brake pedal feels spongy after two brake fluses

I replaced all rotors and pads a few months ago and still was not happy with the initial brake pedal feel on my 2008 Navigator. I had the Ford dealership flush the entire system and it did not help. I took it back and said the pedal still felt spongy upon initial braking and they re flushed it and "checked" the calipers, master cylinder and lines. All was ok in their opinion. My problem is my dad has a 2010 Navigator and his brakes significantly better than mine with the same pads and rotors. I entertained putting on a new master cylinder but wanted forum members opinion.

Spongy = air in system

Gasses (Air) compresses. Fluid does not compress.

older, deteriorating flex lines from the hard lines to the caliper can sometimes cause a soft pedal

^^this^^

My 06 has always felt a little soft on initial brake tip in. In fixing a slight pull to the right, I replaced both front brake hoses.

This fixed my pull, but I was also rewarded with greatly improved tip in feel on the brakes. Several weeks later I'm still surprised by how much better the brakes feel. I got used to driving it the way it was, and the change is very noticeable.

I got my hoses from Amazon for a significant savings over local.

I'd start there.
