question about X-plan

Do all dealers have to honor it on all eligible vehicles? TIA

saw this on the ford partner website after a googling, and here's what came up:
"Vehicles may be ordered from production or, if the dealer agrees, may be selected from the inventory of the dealership. Dealers are not required to participate, but if they do, they must be an authorized Ford Motor Company or Lincoln Motor Company dealer for the product sold and agree to abide by the New Vehicle Purchase Program guidelines set forth in this document."

In short, if they participate then yes, if not no. I'm lucky in Northerwestern Delaware that all the ford dealers around me have claimed they participate

From the X-Plan Web Site:

Can I receive the special Partner Recognition Plan price at any dealer?
The Plan program is available through all participating U.SA. dealerships. Dealer participation is voluntary. You should inform the dealer of Plan eligibility during your first contact with your dealer. If for some reason your dealer elects not to participate, you may visit another dealer. Eligible vehicles that are in limited supply, like most SVT models, may be difficult to obtain through the Plan.

It's the first thing I asked when I was shopping this last go-round, helping the pastor out

Dealers are not required to accept an x-plan pin and do x-plan pricing. It's rare that they won't though.

Someone who doesn't better hope they don't have a competing dealer within driving distance.

I believe Tyler (troverman) had that exact experience when he was first ordering. Two dealers within spitting distance and one would take a pin and one wouldn't. Speaking of the T man, where is he lately? Did he go buy another 16 and give up on his order? It's rather unusual not hearing from him on here for that long as he's always been one of the most active guys in the 17 section...

You missed it? He bought a '16 KR F350 SRW. He's out for a year as he needed a truck now and couldn't wait for the '17 he had ordered.

I saw him mention that Tom but didn't know it was finalized. That's a real tough situation for him. I guess he should have never given up his current truck..

Yep, he had a picture in another thread. That was the killer...giving up his truck early, expecting his new one to come in shortly. Sounds like the dealer is working with him on this '16 though.

As bad as I want a '17, I'm glad I don't have one on order now. It's easier waiting knowing I'm a couple years out than it would be knowing my order is in and waiting for delays to subside.

Wonderful dealership, they accepted X-plan so it saved me another 900. Thank you Ford.

Good deal! Not so much of a "premium" after all! Be sure to keep us posted on delivery and a review...

It is still a premium over the deal on the ordered one, but I no longer wonder when I will get it.
