saginaw setup for 4.9l serpentine which pulley will work?

I have a 93 f150 and I bought the correct bracket for the saginaw pump and now I need the pulley. I figured I can just buy a rebuilt pump from the store and trade in on of my old ford pumps. That said, I still need to find they pulley but I'm not sure which ones I can use. will any e series van serpentine pulley with a saginaw pump work?

If you are using a E-series bracket, you'll need a E series pump with E series pulley because the Ford corporate power steering pump II (plastic one) shaft is smaller.

On my 94-5.8, when I converted, it was a press off-press, press-on deal. But I was using a replacement late 70s Saginaw which is all but non-existent now in stores.

Also, most of the named parts suppliers will only accept an equivalent core. Just sayin'.

Can you get the pulley where you got the bracket?

^^Something else to consider - on my 94 302 conversion I used a 92 bracket/pump/pulley combo and I ended up needing a belt that was about 1.5" longer than stock. The stock belt worked but it left almost no play on the tensioner which caused it to chirp.

Well I'm hoping to do the air injection delete, 3g upgrade, and pump removal at the same time. She just passed her last test. I'll need a new belt def. I'll go to my local autoparts and ask them if I can bring it back fi it doesnt fit.

So I forgot to post back. Got the pump on(its amazing) and did the air injection delete but I still have the air pump on because the belt once rerouted hits a bolt on the alternator.

Thanks for updating this thread. What alternator are you using? I did the air pump delete a couple years back and had no belt conflict issues, but I'm still using the original 2G alternator. Have plans to go 3G and Saginaw pump - already have everything - just need time.

I still have the 2g as I didn't pull the 3g. The bottom bolt on the alternator(the one with the shoulder bushing that slides in and out) hits my belt. That said, the bolt also hits the radiator when i try to take it out...need about a quarter of an inch to clear.

Weird. Same setup as mine, but I have no belt contact issue. Any pics? I'll try to post some of my setup when I get a chance.
