Lalberts, start your own thread but in a nut shell the bigger the number the bigger the jet (more fuel).

Jason, just responded to your PM but you are really rich and need to jet down.

Good learning thread, it will be interesting to see how it responds to the changes.
What base timing are you running ? What are the compression numbers? Are all cylinders firing? Vacuum?

Start at the bottom and work your way up,when troubleshooting

Sorry, I didn't see your post and question. I don't think you want to use an Acc power feed, only difference is that if you turn it to Acc to listen to the radio or something, the gauge will power up. Should come off the Ignition terminal at the switch.

10's and 11's is horrid! Idle in the 12s is not great, but the idle will be a lot smoother there than in the upper-13's. (Depends on a lot of things) Are you using PCV?

I take it Truckee is giving you some jetting / rod points to try? Try for high 13's at 30 - 40 mph, 14+ above that. May need to play with timing too.

Gotcha. The instructions say not to wire it to ignition system. Not sure why. I'll cross that bridge when I get there. No radio right now I jetted down one size today, didn't make much of a difference. Go down another size? How do I check vacuum for my engine?

You need to adjust the idle screws whenever you change jets. Where was there no change, idle or mid, or cruise?

I've been running off the ignition switch for almost 3 years, no problem. I suspect their concerns are greater with EFI cars. Did you calibrate your meter?

Good question, I'll have to go get a timing light. You want to know the timing at Idle? Yes I calibrated the sensor.

At idle is the place to start. Later you can check when it's all in

You can turn the distributor clockwise just a bit, maybe 1/4" to advance. Just to see.
I can't say enough that you need to get the ignition right or make sure it's right. before you tune the carb. The ignition system will affect the a/f just as much or more..as the carb.
When you can, Check the compression too. It's part of the triangle
