Do I really need a heavy duty truck or even a diesel?

Wanted to get some opinions here on if I would even need a super duty and if so would a diesel or gas motor suit me better.

Currently I drive a 2010 f150 sc 4x4 with 5.4L.

I drive right around 20K miles a year.
30% on route 80, 60% 55-60 mph back roads, 10% "city" driving.
Daily commute is 66 miles round trip. 44 miles on back roads, 22 miles on Ohio turnpike.
I tow jet skis a few times a year, I haul a 20' single axle camper a few times a year, I haul a 2 axle car hauler once or twice a year moving a 8n sized tractor, I haul 30 heaping bed loads of fire wood each year (22 miles per load), I usually haul a single bed full of coal, and I usually haul at least a bed load of shingles or bricks or stone for family or friends.
I hunt and fish and play hockey so there's always gear of some sort in the cab. I have a GSP that rides everywhere with me, married with 2 kids.

Would do y'all think ideal new truck for me would be?

Sounds like a half ton is the way to go unless got want a 3/4 ton. If you want one, get one.

I agree with Chris in that a half ton seams to work just fine for you but there is no replacement for a Superduty..

No way diesel. Unless you want a solid axle F250, go for the F150. I loved my 3.5 EB. It will put a smile on your face. I give up at least 5 mpgs to drive a SD, but I tow enough equipment to need one.

iIf in ther future you may upgrade your camping than i would go with the diesel. Other than that the F150 would be a better commute truck.

F150 fits your profile perfectly. May want a high payload package, if offered .

An F150 will suit you just fine. Now if you want a Super Duty and can live with the mileage hit then by all means get one, that's what I did.

Also, if you go with a SD don't get a diesel, that would be a waste for your application.

Meh, get the diesel if you are going to buy a Super Duty. Way more fun to drive.

Always go a tad bigger, your load will get there eventually. A gas F250(in Excursion form) is perfect for me, even though I ONLY tow a trailer that is 5125 lbs empty. When you go distances, the extra comfort of knowing the truck isn't working all that hard is worth it, TO ME. And I plan on upgrading, not so much weight wise, as floor plan. We want a walkup bed. I'm guessing our next TT will weigh in at 8 or 9000, and we're ready truck wise.

Go big or go home...F250 GAS is your best bet for any future upgrades. That's what I did.

I used my 2009 F150 in a similar manner, and recently purchased 2011 F250 w/6.2. I do not regret my decision and am enjoying the super duty. Asking this question on the super duty forum is likely going to end up with rewarding you with responses telling you to get a super duty. A super duty is a different animal than a 150. You are at the upper end of 150 territory and I suspect you will notice a difference using a super duty for the same chores.

My F250 with the 6.7 gets lousy fuel mileage in town but on the highway i get better than 18 at 70 to 80 MPH.

I agree with JeepPuller that you are at the upper end of the F150. Take the next step up and you'll find that you have room to grow.
BTW, go diesel...
