Sunroof trouble.

I have a 2002 F-150 Lariat supercab.
My sunroof interior cover will slide back but won't come back after I close the sunroof.
I heard some "clanging" when open, so I reached in between the cover and glass and pulled out a flat, kinda bowed metal bar. No more clanging but I'm afraid that the sunroof will leak. Any thoughts on this? Are there any GOOD videos out there showing how to fix this problem?
Thanks.

My apologies from drudging up an old thread, however I noticed no one has replied to this and I'm having the exact same issue. Just curious if anyone else has had the same issue and knows of a fix.

That flat piece of metal that has a curved section at each end is what carries the cover back into place. It is held in with 2 screws (one at each end). It will be a challenge to get the piece back into place and tighten the screws. If memory serves me correct I used Philips head screws rather than the hex bolts. I also added star lock washers so they wouldn't come loose again. THis was in a 2001 Expedition but the moon-roofs are identical. You may find a video on the Expedition forum.
