No sorries here. You're family, soooooo.....anyways, I don't think I would lay on the go pedal like that. Maybe I can do the upgrade, keep it under control, and then do the studs/spring/rods on the next phase. I gots lots to think about. I am used to being careful with it now just due to EGTs and having to keep those at bay. In stock or 50 setting, EGTs are not a problem, but anything above 50 and I have to watch my go pedal quite a bit.
See my ramble above. Lol

The hillbilly doesn't have studs, pushrods or springs. You can do it. Better know your limits and toe that line oh so carefully.
By today's standards, 450 really isn't bad. It's all in perception. Will a dodge, d max and new ford out pull our ol trucks without the heat issues? More than likely. But it'll take a lot more money than 450 a month. We have an 04 d max at work that's around 325hp in stock form. Same with our 6.0's and I'm sure the 6.4 is more and they pull fantastic. However, the d mad is a POS. Nothing on the dash works. And it constantly nickle and dimes us. The 6.0's have been great. We just did injectors on my work truck to the tune of 2500, but it also has 202k on it. Is it more or less reliable than a 7.3? Hard to say as there are so many variables. Our work trucks get the snot beat out of them 5 days a week. I'm not really sure where I'm going with this other than the fact that it takes money to play and each and every truck has its quips, advantages or disadvantages. You're not keeping it cool as you have a heavy trailer with more fuel than that stick turbo was meant to handle. Plain and simple.
So my ramble above. Lol

haha, I thought I knew a lot about 5ers with my last one but this one is more complicated. I've learned a lot so far from these forums but its only a post or two a day, not very active.
