AIR VENT DOOR SCREW SIZES??

What type of screw and what size holds the air vent screen down to the cowl and what holds the vent cover to the frame? I had help tearing mine apart and storage must have eaten them up!
Thanks in advance.

Bill, they are round-head sheet metal screw, probably a #6, probably 1/2" long. They aren't listed anywhere I can find in the parts manual, if no one else can tell you I'll pull one out for you.

I picked up a hand full to try this weekend.
I have the old F-7 donor but I'm too old get up on it to take them out.
I may send one of my boys up there with a screwdriver.
Thanks Ross,
Bill

be careful with the cowl vent screws, just loosen them up enough to slide the vent over on the vent frame work (the frame has slot openings) and lift the cowl vent off the frame.

if you try to unscrew the cowl vent screws all the way they may break off in the vent. (at least mine did the first time i removed a vent) Im not sure how or why that happened but I assumed the screws were just rusty and that's what cause them to break?
or maybe they designed it that way??
