2008/10 crewcab swap onto a 2002 Chassis
I am investigating to convert my 2002 F350 Crewcab Long bed to a 2008/10 version by buying a salvage 2008/10 donor car and swap chassis.
From what I understand all 1999-2010 172.4" chassis are the same ? or would newer also fit ?
What sort of obstacles could I expect ?
The reason is to have a newer model F350(and the added looks and comfort as my ex. US forces 2002 is very basic) on an older chassis and the advantage of the 2002 production year attached to the chassis VIN.
The Dutch tax office provides a huge discount when the car is 15 years or older, the chassis with VIN is taks technically the car and makes it 2002(regardless of the body) so next year it will be 15 years old this saves me €8000,- tax a year !
Cheers, Gus !
