So I picked up the part from the local store(only one to choose from) and get there to put it in, except the one from the store has an entirely different hookup. They way I'm seeing this online as well as general location of the ECT sensor is this


Am I correct in assuming its that little thing next to the thermostat housing? If it is, then the sensor I have is the wrong one.

 

There are two coolant sensors. Follow that wire harness on down around the water pump, and the other one is on down to the left of the water pump.

 

One is for the gauge and the other is for the light

 

So which one is for the gauge? Cause that's the one that needs replacing.
