F6 rear axle help needed
Hello, jeepcamp from North central Wv. Who can help me find rear axle inner oil seals. Here is what I think I know. 1952 F6. The number on the old seal is National 5751. I measured it and came up with 4.553od 3.173id and 1.151thick . I believe the axle to be a Eaton 1350 two speed. I would like Nos, but any that will work will be great. Thanks

F6 rear axle help needed
Hello thanks for looking but I already bought from Napa and they will not work. Mine set down in the hub and are held in by a big spring clip. The Napa ones are to thin and don't fill the hole. I,ll take a picture of the Napa ones at lunchtime to show the difference . Thanks for your helping but not there yet .

BB-1175-C .. Rear Axle Seal ~ 4.56" O.D. / Timken part number: A-1205-P-276 */ Obsolete
1948/52: F4/F5/F6 (TL/T/TH) / F5 Parcel Delivery (JH) / F5/F6 COE (W/WH).
MAINER FORD in Okarche OK has 2 = 405-263-7242.
SOEBY MOTOR CO. in Walhalla ND has 2 = 701-549-3711.
CARPENTER NOS OBSOLETE PARTS in Concord NC has 5 = 800-476-9653.
*I realize you said Eaton two speed, but these seals are not "looked up" under a specific rear axle. They are looked up individually under the seals basic part number (see pic below).
The FoMoCo to Manufacturers cross reference parts catalog (at the end of the 1964/72 truck catalog), lists the Timken part number along with the Ford part number.

Glad you found the correct seals. Make sure when you reassemble the hubs on the axle that the tubular shield is in place and that the drain hole in the bottom is open. This will keep any oil that might leak thru the seals from getting on the brakes. While I personally like the National seal best, the flat seal will work if the shield is there and the drain hole is kept open.
