Died while driving - IDM??
Ole Monty died pulling out of the subdivision this morning. Left of stop sign, made a left turn and he died just as smooth as turning off the key. Pulled it home and checked the following.
Fuel Bowl full
switched tanks
35-40 PSI fuel while cranking
Tac moving, about 200 RPM or so
WTS cycles and relay is heard clicking on and off
Checked fuse 22 and all others under hood, including diode.
Checked UVCH connections (running the SD harness)
unplugged TS6
Unplugged ICP
following no start flow chart... no smoke while cranking
pulled IDM and....... I'm about 95% sure I hear sloshing.
Will I regret prying this thing open?
Any one in Houston got one I can buy or borrow to troubleshoot?
Any other things I should check.

I sure hope to be back up by then, it's my work truck, but I appreciate the offer, and if I'm still down, I'll take the help.

WElllllll, definitely water. There is some sort of vent diaphragm on the the engine bay side, and it nearly fell of on its own, and sure enough, water.
knottyrope, I hear ya, but I'm not optimistic. I've found water, itself, will not kill electronics, but when electrical current is present with water, its almost sure to cook something, and there was definitely water and current in the same place..lol.
So big question, where to get one in the Houston area quickly. Like maayyybee today?

First, as always, you guys are great. Thank you.
I'd love to meet up, and try that AE. I've yet to establish a diagnostic link with my PCM, and I suspect there is a problem somewhere. Seabrook is about an hour, hour and a half, so not sure if I can work that into a busy work week, but if I can, it be cool to meet a fellow member.
I took a chance on an IDM from a 1995 F350 from a salvage lot for $125, with no cash refunds..haha. Worked like a charm. I may take knotty's approach and see if I can dry my original (which was not my original interestingly enough) and use it as a spare.
