Changed Soleniod and tow light still comes on.

Hello everyone...
Its been a hot minute since ive needed help with my 6.0
I dont post much but im always here reading.

2006 250 6.0
140k miles

egr delete and all the upgrades that ive learned from here. Didnt stud the truck... yet.

anyways... i tow a trailer.. around 9k total daily. Was coming home the other day and tranny started to act up... then tow light started flashing. Pulled codes and got a code saying intermedate solenoid c stuck ... so i replaced it... and filters (both) and put 8 quarts of sp motorcraft back in her.. also did all fuel filters and oil change with mobil one.. and i only use motorcraft filters. I change everything at every 5k. no matter what.
So i cleared the codes (i use torque) and was hoping i solved my problem... nope... it seemed to do a little better but shifts hard into 3rd... and after a few minutes the tow light starts flashing again. seemed to run better in tow mode!

I need this truck working.. i baby it.. i dont have a tuner (been thinking about the sct tuner for towing)

i could really use the help. dont know where to look next

Try disconnecting both negative battery cables. This will clear the computer's memory. It may have learned something bad from the old solenoid.

If you had code P0760 or P0761 that was the right solenoid. I'm out of ideas.

If there's high resistance from a bad harness or connection do you think it would throw the code?

Also, happscrap, was the valve body bore inspected and clean?

High resistance shouldn't set either of those codes, but should set a code for a bad electrical circuit. These codes mean the armature in the solenoid didn't move when it was commanded to move.

Right. But how is the TCM know that? There's not a position signal going to the TCM. I'm thinking if it sees high resistance than the TCM sees this as a stuck solenoid.
If not the case then how does the TCM come to the conclusion that the armature did not move?
Just trying to get to the nitty gritty here.

I did inspect the valve body. I change the fluild every other oil change.. looked new. I keep ready about bad harnesses.
When i clear the codes by unhooking the batteries for 10 mins. and then test drive.. it shifts from 1st to 2nd ok.. but then from 2nd to 3rd it revs up like in neutral and then hits 3rd hard. After about 2 mins driving the tow haul light starts flashing and then 1 min. later the engine light comes on. Weird thing is it seems to drive ok.. (i can tell its not right) in tow haul mode.. shifts thru all the gears or at least it feels like it does.
Im going to try and inspect the wiring harness coming from the transmission tomorrow. Im at a stand still. I hate dropping this truck off at the dealer.

I don't know what you have for a scanner, but a Snap on or IDS you can command the solenoids on/off and listen for the movement to see if it's quick and crisp.
If you don't have access, if you get a pinout diagram of the main harness plug @ the module, you could ohm out the solenoid through the entire harness to check for out of parameter resistance.
Only other thing I can think of is the internal pressures. Actually that gives me another thought if low valve body pressures would cause that code. On the valve body there are plastic "dummy" plugs in ports that are not used. They can leak or blow out and give issues obviously. The aftermarket world offers aluminum plugs to replace the plastic to avoid failure.
Maybe Sean can post the diagnostic procedure and electrical schematic in PDF. I'm mobile and can't.
Just trying to give you some ideas. In the end if you don't have the diagnostic equipment then you may be going somewhere who does.
