I used the Majic brand last year to spray red and grey on an old Massey Ferguson. It sure didn't take long for the red to start fading. I need to buff the thing out and get it under a cover I guess.
I had a buddy spray the red on all the tin work. I did the gray spraying on the engine and cases. I did use a couple of rattle cans of the Massey Ferguson red for some of the accessories and it seemed to cover well.
Good luck on the plate resto

A dear friend of mine got this plate for 5.00 .1936 is his birth year . He asked me to sand blast it for him . It was rusty and bent and had a hole poked in it. I blasted it, straightened it, primed it , painted it , and lettered it for him. His health is not so good so I wanted to get it done fast . Took 2 days . Not my best work by any means , my lettering is shaky and there are rust pits all over , but he is just going to hang it on his wall .The look on his face when I handed it to him was totally worth it. He was expecting a raw plate. He offered to pay me , I said, happy 81st birthday, that means you'll have to stick around another year. He said he'd do his best, and we laughed. Felt good to see him so happy.
