Brake lights not working nor is the hazards on a 1983 f250 the hazards just stay on no blinking anyone know how to fix it

 

Hazard lites inop is probably a flasher unit.

 

I found out that the brake light switch melted together and was always on. I fixed the wires now brake light on right rear work but the left side does not. I even replaced the bulb. Now I'm looking on wiring diagram to trace the left side to see why no power to that side.

 

Jiggle the turn signal switch while stepping on the brake and see if it magically comes on.

 

Yes, if you follow the diagram back you will hit the turnsignal switch. If the blinker works for the bad side, then you know the bulb and the wiring to the rear are good, since the brake and the turn use the same wire and the same bulb filament.
