Help: Routing Parking Brake Cable 1951 F1

Hi,
I need some help routing my emergency brake cable. I saw in some previous threads that the cable comes into the cab above the steering column via a "bump" in the toe board. I purchased my truck mid project and I am just getting to the end. I just insured it and I am taking it off nonop this week!

The floor had already been modified to accommodate for a power steering unit so I don't believe I have this "bump" anymore.

I know the cable goes over the transmission, I need a bracket on the 2 oclock tranny bolt which I don't have and that is where my knowledge stops.

I was out for a bit due to getting my appendix out but now I'm back at it.

I was able this week to make a relief and spot weld it into the floor. The cable fit great and everything is now hooked up. I wanted to make sure to seal the rest of the floor from the bottom. The piece that was retrofitted in around the new steering column has a lip around the edge from the bottom side of the floor board. I wanted to make sure to seal this area so water doesn't get in between the sheets but it isn't really a but joint where I could put seam sealer. Any ideas?

just run a bead of seam sealer or RTV around the inner floor edge before you bolt the close out panel down. or you can cut a piece of rubber or cork to make your own gasket.
