i've read a bunch of 'tricks' to get the plugs out of a 5.4 Trition.
removing the plugs while the block is still hot/warm...
loosening the plugs a bit and resting before removal...
and pulling the coils and soaking the top of the plugs in a penetrating oil such as "Kano Labs AeroKroil"...
i'm sure i'm leaving off a bunch of others.
i'm sure they all have their positives and the 2 cycle oil i'm sure has its merits, but my theory is if a plug is going to break its going to break no matter what 'trick' you use.
my best advice is to purchase the "Lisle Ford spark plug removal tool" then pull and pray.
amazon is the cheapest i've found.

i've replaced 2 sets of plugs in my 5.4L over the years and have only broken one plug...
guess i've been lucky.
although i do put a very small amount of anti-seize on the plug threads before installing, that might have something to do with it....

As for the 2 cycle oil, maybe, but I would not count on it.
I would (and did) follow the TSB and had no plugs break on an '04 with 156,000 miles on the original plugs.
I would also (and did) have the Lisle tool when you do it just in case.
