TPS connector different

I bought a new old stock throttle body complete assembly, all installed, except the TPS connector is different. I can change back to the old one or I could break the black plastic off the connector, the grey part would fit, tie old one is oval and the new one is rectangular. Any help would be appreciated. 1996 f150 XL 4.9 5sp standard cab long-bed

I would venture a guess to say that throttlebody is not from this vintage Ford truck. All the TPS connectors were oval/round that I know of.

I solved it by swapping the TPS. Having worked dealer parts rooms in the past, I have a theory: someone needed a TPS and swapped the one from the new throttle body, meant to order one, promptly forgot. The major tip off was it had only one screw holding it. The new TB works great otherwise, BTW the internal part of the connector was still oval, just the plug receiver was a rectangle. Had I been willing to screw up my harness by breaking the black part off, it would have plugged up. I'll just drive it as is for now, maybe toss it a tps later.
