white smoke issue

(great forum here, first post) Read the tech folder good info. Found what's causing white smoke from exhaust TSB 8-25-1. Fits to the detail my 08 f350 6.4L. INTERCOOLER does anyone recommend a good manufacturer and part number?

White smoke can be the EGR Cooler. Is that what part you mean? If so, how about Bullet Proof Diesel?

Hey jimh, my question a bit misleading I reckon. I had to go back see if right TSB# was mentioned, sure enough 08-25-1. What I should have been asking about is what the tsb says to replace Charge Air Cooler Assembly. Don't know what that is so I better get busy researching. Thanks. forum question what is difference between Post Quick Reply and Go Advanced?

That TSB refers to ,moisture build up in the intercooler. Ford has an updated design that reduces this. You can also upgrade to an aftermarket intercooler as well if you choose. Easy to replace on your own.

Remember reading thread of someone installing drain on bottom of CAC. Worked good he opened drain each night to drain water build up. Can't find the thread now and would like to reread. Has anyone read and remember? Could reply with link.

How can moisture build up in the intercooler?

How can replacing it solve the problem?

It would seem to me that replacing it is a really expensive way to rid the system of the moisture instead of draining it. Any ideas as to what causes it?

Mine was replaced by Ford under the TSB they issued. It fixed it for awhile, but it's back. I think there's more to it, but I only have an issue with it maybe twice a year.
