Edelbrock #1405 on 351m?

I was just wondering if the 600 cfm edelbrock 1405 carb would work on a 351m. Anyone tried this setup? Have a chance to buy a performer 400 intake and this carb. Just wanted your opinions. I am rebuilding my 351m and don't need a race truck or anything, just a little more power than stock and runs good. Thanks

The 1405 will work fine. It is jetted for a rich "performance" mixture so your fuel mileage may not be the best.

i just finished building the 351m in my truck. i used a edelbrock performer intake, a flat adapter plate and a 600 holley. the carb has been gone through and had a trick kit installed. so far the truck runs great you can really tell when the secondaries hit.

I think that the edelbrock performer 1405 is a good choice. The primary venturies are smaller than a 2V carb. That will help your throttle response and maybe your gas mileage if you can stay out of the secondary venturies.

The edelbrock is a good carb,, easy to jet and adjust,, should be a good carb for your engine,, just keep your foot out of it,,,lol
