Replacement wheel caps?

My toy hauler has "decorative" wheel caps. They don't do anything except look nice and maybe keep the axle hub from getting scratched. I have the EZ Lube axles.

One of the three prongs on the wheel cap broke off and the cap will no longer stay on the wheel. Any suggestions? Buy a new one? Fix the old one? Any idea where to find new wheel cap?

Buy new from one of many places on the Internet. Just google it or go to Amazon, maybe etrailer, etc. Check the size before ordering. They may look the same, but size matters.

Etrailer have literally dozens of variations. Our last had plastic ones that covered the lug nuts and popped over them. This one has the steel push though type which I prefer. I also have E-Z Lube hubs but choose to hand pack bearings so also have chrome hole plugs. Measure the wheel hole first, especially if you opt for the push through as a replacement. You can also get stainless steel push throughs which wont rust like the chromed steel.

There are a couple of sizes of these things that are really close, so measure carefully. I actually miked the opening the last time I needed one. The owner had purchased the wrong size and tried to beat it into the opening. It is really amazing how strong that plastic is and how hard it was to get it back out. I actually had to break it to pieces before it would come out.

New center caps ordered. Once I figured out what to call them it was fairly easy to find. The new ones do not have the three prongs. Instead, they have a lip around the entire opening. I hope that doesn't cause a problem with seating the tire to the hub.
