Second, how old are they? Anything with rubber parts deteriorate with age whether they are used or not (dry rot).
Post the p/n on the two hoses that you have, that will ID which system you have.

Thank you for your reply. It's the Bendix type. The rubber is like factory new. The metal still has it's gold plating. I was wondering their worth. I think I figured it out
The return Hose P/N D6TZ-3A713-E
The supply Hose P/N D6TZ-3A719-C
The right turn Hose P/N D6TZ-3A717-B
The left turn Hose P/N D4TZ-3A714-A
I just checked, All 4 have the factory tags.
I put OEM PS Hoses on my highboy in 1989. The truck was just state inspected here in VA today, no cracks in the rubber, no leaks in the control valve/steering cylinder etc. I think I'll keep these OEM "new/unused" hoses just in case.

Probably a smart move , especially with "consumable" parts like these. They will eventually need to be replaced.
I know more than a few times I've gotten rid of something only to need it down the road and it always cost me more to replace the part than I got for it .

I've been away for a while. It's nice to see you still here giving precise P/N's and advice Number....Man!
From sources I checked, I'm to understand P/N "D4TZ-3A714-A" , which I have as a spare, is the same as D6TZ-3A714-B. Am I wrong? I'm guessing the DTZ$ is the year. That last number A has me wondering. With other parts, I've seen every number the same except the last one. With that last number different, you could not even tell the parts were related! Ya got me wondering now.

Mike0,
I know this steering set up gets beat up on here, but I have no issues with it. In the early nineties I had Lares rebuild my steering box, control valve and cylinder. No leaks and everything is tight to this day. I just purchased a steering ram seal kit off of Ebay for the future. I have a spare Ram and control valve in the shed that didn't leak when removed. I think I'll send them to Lares over time to get them rebuilt. They can be rebuilt for less than $250 apiece, and I don't have to modify anything.. I have a shed with a few truck parts because of your last sentence! I have a tailgate with a Trailer Special emblem on it I may sell to help pay for the Lares bill.

I'm blind, I'm blind. I'm not a numbers man. I get beat at work for this all of the time. BUTT, in this case, Gates puts their replacement hose under both part numbers. I'm not gonna take the OEM D6TZ hose off my truck to verify if this D4TZ replacement hose fits though. It looks the same to me.
