boost from a turbo is only made when the engine needs it, not all the time.
driving down the road my trucks only make 1-2 lbs boost, even when towing 10,000 lbs.
but if i put my foot into it i can easily see 15 lbs on the 88 and 30 on the 02 powerstroke.
running empty the 88 will only make around 10 lbs full throttle uphill.
I agree. I have the hypermax, and until I properly tuned everything, I wouldnt exceed 6psi even under a decent load. Now I can max out the Hypermax turbo with up to 12psi under load, but nothing more. The OP is probably getting standard results for a tired Hypermax system.

my higher boost numbers are caused by no muffler to make back pressure, so the turbo spools faster and gives higher boost.

So while driving i made it home and my fuel pump went out. Assuming its stock its about 30 psi ia what I'm hearing which isnt enough to feed the turbo?

Looking into 80 psi mechanical from summit. And stage 1 injectors i found.

Also, how sure of your boost gauge are you? what kind of exhaust do you got?

Don't go out buying a set of Aceel fuel injectors when your boost gauge or sensor could be failing. Narrow the variables first, then make purchases. And as for purchases, don't buy those injectors ever.

My fuel pump just went out. So good possibility it has been weak for a while.

@30 gph i am going to upgrade to 80 and change the injectorsto a stage one i found online.

You won't need stage 1 injectors unless you have studded the heads and put at least a 90 pump in.

The test procedure at cranking RPM is that you should get 1/3 pint minimum every 10 seconds at the Schrader Stem with core removed ...

So, lets just do the math. (not my best subject)

<table><tr><td>3600</td><td></td><td>Seconds in an hour</td></tr><tr><td>/</td><td></td><td>Divide by</td></tr><tr><td>10</td><td></td><td>Seconds for each 1/3 pint</td></tr><tr><td>=</td><td></td><td>Equals</td></tr><tr><td>360</td><td></td><td>1/3 pints per hour</td></tr><tr><td>*</td><td></td><td>Multiply by</td></tr><tr><td>0.3</td><td></td><td>1/3 pint</td></tr><tr><td>=</td><td></td><td>Equals</td></tr><tr><td>108</td><td></td><td>Pints per hour</td></tr><tr><td>/</td><td></td><td>Divide by</td></tr><tr><td>8</td><td></td><td>Pints per gallon</td></tr><tr><td>=</td><td></td><td>Equals</td></tr><tr><td>13.5</td><td></td><td>Gallons per hour</td></tr><tr></tr></table>
I'd really like to see the Ford IDI that can drink (and burn ...) 13.5 Gallons Per Hour!

And that's not only rounded down (.3 versus .333...3), it's figured at cranking RPM and through the restriction of the Schrader Stem.

That would be one bad *** IDI or a hella smokey POS!

-Enjoy

a 30 gallon per hour fuel pump will supply 3 times the fuel your engine requires.
pressure is also important. too much and the truck will not run. you do not want any more than around 12 psi pressure at the inlet of the injector pump.

I'm a bit concerned for the OP. I'm not sure where you are getting your IDI parts info, but you've been off on nearly everything.

Stop trying to hi-perf everything before you get the basics figured out. Fix your engine, then invest in the hi-performance parts once you have the important things (like studs) done first.
