I've never been to a swap meet b4, looks like a lot of fun . Especially if I had a pocket full of money. Thanks for the pics.

Last year I spent almost nothing there. This year I dropped a few Benjamins. Just depends on the day you're there and what you're looking for. Bought a replacement head for one of my Y-Bolcks, a nice 64 Galaxie steering wheel & a 56 Missouri Truck Plate for one of my F100s.

Ya need to go to one. Great fun just looking at all the stuff whether you buy anything or not.

BJ, I think this is where I got my 55 plate:
1956 Missouri license plates for sale
They delivered it very quickly.
Since my plate was 5 digits I bought it before I even checked with Revenue. With 6 digit plates you might want to email them first. They take a couple of days to respond.

Another place I inquired about still hasn't gotten back with me and that was a couple of months ago.

I sure would have enjoyed being there better than my day at work.
I'm going to drive by it tomorrow, but it will be on my way to Monett for a football game. Bummer.

What's the deal with 5 or 6 digits?

Since most license plates are 6 digits, the probability of the number combination being currently in use with 5 digits is much less than with 6 digits. I have no idea why the plate I have is only 5 digits, but it works for me.

The 56 ones for sale are all numbers and new plates have a combination of numbers and letters, so you will be pretty safe with any plate that has all numbers I would think.

Here are the Missouri instructions for registering YOM plates:
Historic License Plates
There is a link on that page to check the availability of the plate configuration. They email you letting you know in a couple of days.

When I drove by the entrance to the swap meet yesterday afternoon, I looked over at it longingly. It was actually pretty nice in Monett last night. Sam came through the game with no injuries which is a blessing after last year. We got our butts kicked in the first quarter and played even after that. Oh well, good lessons for them.

Getting home at 2am and up at 7 is a little hard on this old guy.
Heading to Columbia in a couple of minutes for baseball. I think I could get on my creeper and check the underside of my engine for a couple of hours right now.

Every year is a little different. Only one glass vendor and I don't believe he had glass on site. Old F100 stuff is getting less & less but I still enjoy the looking and visiting with the vendors.

BJ that 54 red flat bed can be yours for only $3000.00 I have been driving by it for some time now but never stopped to see what he wanted. I used to have a 55 grille in it awhile back. I have thought about but I do not really need another truck in the yard. The writing on the window said that it runs. I just might stop by today and check it out. Could not make the swap meet as we went up home to NE for my mothers 90th birthday. You know what I would have been if I did not make it.

I had a great time looking & buying stuff. It's always a pretty good swapmeet.
