Two tone

I have an 83 f350 xl. The two tone paint is one I have never seen before; the top is dark metallic blue, and then below the chrome moulding strip it is white; this is factory. I have always seen the typical two tone with the top and bottom same color, with one in between, or the victoria two tone. Has anyone seen this or does anyone have one similar? Was this a base paint job, like one step above solid color?

If not, your truck may have the "Explorer" package with missing tape stripes and badges. Some of these models had a paint scheme like this.

Ive seen that type of 2 tone on the 76 and earlier trucks but never a Bullnose, I think that was a custom repaint somewhere along the way

Turns out you were correct. I got my marti report and it has the Explorer package with stripe delete. 1 of 1 for color-trim combo. Pretty neat!

Just curious, how much is a Marti report these days? And they can do trucks?

PHS, Pontiac Historical is $50.00 I believe.

I paid 46 dollars for the deluxe report. They do any ford vehicle from i think 2007 and earlier. Very satisfied with it!
