460 front sump to rear sump swap issues
I am attempting to put a 1972 Linclon 460 in. It had a front sump oil pan on it and I'm trying swap it to a rear sump. I was given a pan and best I can tell by the numbers its off a 94 F250 460. From my research the oil pump is the same but I have used two pickup tubes (84ds1)(84ds2) nether of these seam to be right and wont allow the pan to go on. I know they sell swap kits but the pans in them look the same as the one I have.. Help Please!

I have the Bolt to bolt it to the main. My problem is I have used both the pickup tubes listed and (84ds1 and 84ds2) both hit in the front part of the rear sump. And both will not allow the pan to go flush with the block in the rear. I have seen other people post with this problem and the only solution I saw was one guy saying he cut 3/4 of an inch off the pickup tube. I have the ability to do that But I would much rather fix this the right way.
